Ray Turner

Dr. Turner received his PhD at UBC in 1985 before completing postdoctoral work at NIH Bethesda and the University of Ottawa before joining the faculty at the University of Calgary. His work centers on ion channel properties and their control of neuronal membrane excitability, with recent work focusing on developing a strategy for FMRP protein replacement as a potential therapeutic for Fragile X Syndrome.
