Dr. Jonathan Thacker is a neuroscientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto whose research explores how physiological and neuromodulatory interventions such as fasting and exercise can be harnessed to enhance synaptic plasticity and memory function. His work bridges molecular neuroscience with translational models of Alzheimer’s disease and Fragile X syndrome to develop evidence-based strategies that strengthen the brain’s natural capacity for learning, resilience, and cognitive recovery.
