Theresa Bolton
Secretary
Theresa Bolton is a housing coordinator and serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Fragile X Canada. Her community leadership includes serving as a public-at-large member and United Way Liaison on the Town of Cochrane’s Family and Community Support Services Advisory Board. She is also a founding member of Inclusion Cochrane, helping build accessibility, connection, and opportunities for people with disabilities. Town of Cochrane
As the mother of two children with Fragile X syndrome, Theresa brings lived experience and a strong commitment to advocacy and inclusion. She leads Fragile X Canada’s annual initiative to illuminate landmarks across Canada on July 22 for World Fragile X Awareness Day. Through her professional, volunteer, and family experience, Theresa champions stronger community partnerships, practical support for families, and opportunities for people with Fragile X to be heard, valued, and included.

We are so pleased to welcome Scott as Chair of the Fragile X Canada Board of Directors. Scott is joining us at an exciting time, as the Foundation continues to grow, strengthen its national work, and build momentum across research, care, community, and advocacy.
Scott brings a wealth of leadership and governance experience, but just as importantly, he brings a genuine commitment to helping Fragile X Canada build a strong and sustainable future. We are incredibly grateful to have him join our team and are looking forward to the guidance, perspective, and support he will bring to the Foundation and the Fragile X community.
